Storyteller, Actor & Comedian

Leslie is a lifelong storyteller — be it in voice, gestures, words or graphics. She grew up playing in school and community theatre roles, from Cinderella to Florence in the Odd Couple.

Her paid break came as “Polly’s Picnic” host at Canada’s Wonderland, where she narrated a tale with eight macaws — frequently ad-libbing, as the plot shifted with the birds’ moods.

She pursued a BFA in Theatre at York University, earned high grades, but shifted into public relations. There, she excelled in performing “always on,” increasingly senior communications and marketing roles in agencies to corporations, for multiple industries, particularly healthcare. Her experience includes work with global leaders, such as Ogilvy, Timex, Campbell Soup, Pricewaterhouse Coopers and SAP, as well as work as an adjunct professor for several colleges.

Tech savvy and curious, she’s latterly focused on digital communications, which includes hosting and producing client podcasts.

To play outside office walls and take fresh leaps, she dabbled in voice over, stand-up comedy, improv, spoken word poetry and comedy script writing throughout her PR career.

Since 2018, she’s studied voice over under the guidance of industry veteran Wendy Lands. Leslie uses her business expertise to inform her work on explainers, eLearning, podcasts and commercials but is equally comfortable in quirky, character roles.

To grow her comedic voice and timing, she’s also steadily studied and performed stand-up comedy since early 2024.

When not performing, she does yoga, rollerblades, hikes, paints, makes jewellery and keeps on trend with help from her Millennial and Gen Z kids.
